When the safety of your vessel depends on reliable life-saving equipment, inflatable liferafts must be properly inspected, serviced, tested and maintained according to applicable maritime requirements and manufacturer specifications.
TEAM MARINE SDN BHD is accredited by the Malaysia Marine Department to perform servicing, maintenance, inspection and certification of inflatable liferafts, in accordance with applicable requirements including IMO Resolution A.761(18) and IMO MSC.1/Circ.1328.
We provide professional liferaft servicing and related support for vessels calling at major ports in Malaysia, helping shipowners, ship managers, operators and marine agencies keep their inflatable liferafts ready for use and properly documented.
Our liferaft servicing covers the inspection, testing, maintenance and repacking of inflatable liferaft units to help ensure that the equipment remains ready for deployment when required.
Depending on the liferaft type, manufacturer requirements and applicable servicing procedures, our service may include:

Our servicing procedures are carried out with consideration for the applicable requirements and the manufacturer’s approved servicing specifications.
A liferaft is more than an inflatable survival chamber. Its supporting equipment and emergency supplies must also be checked to ensure that the complete survival system is ready for use. Our inspection and servicing process can cover the following areas:

We inspect the overall condition of the liferaft and its components for signs of deterioration, damage, leakage or other conditions that may affect operational readiness.

Appropriate pressure testing is carried out according to the applicable servicing procedure to assess the condition and integrity of the inflatable chambers.

Floor seams and relevant areas of the liferaft are inspected and tested to identify potential leakage or integrity issues.

Emergency packs and associated survival equipment are checked for condition, validity and completeness. Required items can be restocked where necessary.

CO₂ cylinders and associated inflation components are checked. Cylinder refilling and pressure testing are available as part of the servicing scope where required.

The Hydrostatic Release Unit (HRU) is checked for functionality and condition according to the applicable requirements and manufacturer specifications.

Following servicing and inspection, the liferaft is properly repacked according to the applicable manufacturer servicing procedure.

Upon completion, the relevant servicing documentation and certification are provided in accordance with the applicable servicing requirements.
Team Marine provides servicing support for different types and configurations of inflatable liferafts, subject to the applicable manufacturer approval and servicing requirements.
